I just put new spark plug wires in a 99 Chevy suburban and now it backfires. We went through and checked to see if any of the wires were crossed and fixed it and it still backfires. How do I fix it?

You need to go to a parts store and ask them for the firing order on your vehicle. I know you said that you rechecked everything but trust me it is easy to cross a wire up and think you have it right. Also remove each spark plug wire one by one first unplugging from spark plug and check to make sure everything looks ok and the then putting back on plug then remove from coil and check. Do this to each spark plug wire.
