Question type: Maintenance & Repair
Hey every one.. I have a 1999 chevy
suburban 5.7 and recently the battery post
exploded on me while I was driving so I
replaced the battery and the battery
terminals. I tried to start it and it wouldn't
start so I changed the starter and still
would not start. So I was wondering if any
body could help me with this issue

Chances are your alternator was over charging the battery, it can happen, and it blew some fuses. Or when the battery went it sent a surge through the system. Either way start checking fuses. Check your alternator asap once it's running and see if it overcharges when the motor is revving a little
Is the starter working and it just won't run? Or the key doesn't do anything?
Yea the starter turns but i found out what happened my motor froze.. I had a hole about 2 inches on the oil pan.. thanks for your time and help
