I have a 99 Chevy Suburban I can not go into reverse do Ineed a new transmissionand what about the drive shaft would I need to replace that too

Pulling the valve body isn't that hard or frightening. You'd need valve body gasket kit. It's messy with all the ATF, but the parts they mention probably aren't that expensive.
