Blinking oil light

Asked by ThatCaveman Oct 19, 2018 at 12:06 PM about the 2002 Volkswagen Jetta GLS

Question type: General

I was driving to work the other day and about a block before I
got there the oil light started blinking.   I came out after work
to find some coolant on the ground.   The car didn't overheat
so not sure why I had coolant leak.   Now the light comes and
goes... Sometimes it won't come on during a drive...
Sometimes it comes on for a bit then goes off and doesn't
come back on... Sometimes it doesn't go off.  Other times it
stops when I start coming to a stop then starts back as I
begin to accelerate.   I checked my coolant and it seems to
still have a bit over the minimum line required and plenty of
oil in the engine... Maybe just a little more than the full line.
Any help is appreciated
