Leaking coolants and over heating

Overheating can be caused by several issues. Low on coolant, leaks (internal or external), clogged radiator, bad thermostat, bad water pump, etc. You will need to locate the source of the leak first. Could be a hose, water pump, heater core or possibly as bad as a blown head gasket.
