My GF has a 2004 Jetta with a lot of miles... 168k. The car is in pretty rough shape and
doesn't currently run. The timing belt broke and caused some internal engine damage...
there are a lot of good parts still on the car that can be used. Do you think we could get
$1,500 for it?
At this point, it would be worth only what someone is willing to pay for it. Being only 10 years old, there are still several on the road and someone may be looking for a parts car. Depending on what they want to strip off of it will be what they are willing to pay. Have you considered parting it out?
Thank you for the response... I have had some offers from people who only need the transmission, etc. but I don't really have the space, time, or knowledge to part it out piece by piece. Other than the engine most of the car is pretty usable and in decent shape with a lot of new parts (since we thought those were the issue and had them replaced first). Appreciate your help!
