Underbody lights

Does anyone know how I can power
my underbody lights and have them
on for a while if I were to go into a
restaurant and eat and not worry
about my car not starting. I have a
spare car battery that I can place in
the trunk but how can I rig it to where
that battery won't die? Any
suggestions will help!

jamnblues is a right answer or you add a switch just for the underbody lights. if you wanted to run your spare battery you would need to run a charging wire from your alternator to you spare in the trunk.
