trunk wont cllose

put key in trunk switch turn,see if it will close if not bad latch.

HI my jetta does the same thing .Is the lite simple on the cluster on.Myself I think it a bad switch at the lock or pour contact.The trunk .the liner must come off to check .also if you try with the key it will reset for so long as it works Mine does this about 2/3 time every other mouth.Good luck let me know if try this to see if it works .PS I'm going to try some time this summer to fix it. its not rile importing write now. Good Luck
