Radio code

best place to start for this is either your local VW dealer or call VW customer service at 1 (800) 822-8987

I have a 1999 VW Beetle. I found the code in the trunk and confirmed once I opened the radio 0804. I hope this helps someone!

I just called VW.....who no longer will help by giving these codes out.... They are different codes for the CD radios.... I bought my radio on line with no code and it was like pulling teeth to get the code..... NOW, the only way to get the code is to go to a dealership with the radio installed, and they will find and reset the code for $62.50 (Ann Arbor, Mi) Good Luck

My friend has a 2008 vw beetle convertible, the code was in the spare tire area, had to look around a second, but found it. Used instructions from a youtube video to input code and reset, worked great.

I have a 2002 VW Beetle. Found both Serial Number and the Code Number in the Radio Card located in the last section 3.4 of the Owners Manual.
