the bulbs are 2157 or eq. which have a bayonet mount which has two little keys on each side, they are in different places so that the two conductors at the bottom can connect to the right place...the receptacle has two slots one deeper than the other---try to put the bulb in...if it cannot, twist it 180 degrees and try the other slot...once the pins go into the correct slots the tiny spring will push against trying to seat it by turning the bulb slightly in the loosen direction (or is it tighten, take a look at the way the slot is keyed.~

you can see the way the pins each side need to make purchase in the slots and the way that the key has a side-twist at the bottom?~~no.?

push and twist in the tighten direction...if it will not stay, turn it around the other way...comprenedez?
