Worked for Chevy dealer for 20 years and found that a lot of the gm remotes get an oily film on the circuit board pads where the rubber button touches them for activation. Split your remote apart and remove the circuit board being careful not to bend or break the tabs for holding battery in place. On the board there are 2 or 3 gold pads where rubber buttons touch gently clean pads with clean rag and a tiny amount of rubbing alcohol (on the tag) then clean the black rubber dots on the underside of top half of remote put back together and should work fine if that was problem.
