Coolant leak

Asked by GuruDMQ5W Sep 23, 2017 at 09:46 PM about the 2000 Volkswagen Beetle GLS 1.8T

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My step daughter has a 2000 VW
Beetle Turbo. It is leaking coolant
out the bottom, front on the left.
Stop leak seems to help
temporarily. I crawled under there
today and saw a possible source
of the leak. It looks like a
connection, but it's a metal pipe,
much like the ac system. I
snapped a picture. Any help or
advice is appreciated.

don't use stop leak , it's designed to plug small holes and that's what your coolant system is . Now you'll have to flush the crap out , clean things up and see where the leak is actually coming from . Could be a simple O ring , I don't know .
