Replaced Battery and Convertible Top stopped working.  Followed
procedure of raising and lowering windows, turning engine on & off in
sequence - top now works fine. However to accomplish this had to use all 4
window buttons as the master window button would not raise or lower
windows.  Windows master switch still not working.  Is there a reset
sequence for this switch?  Top and individual window control switches
working fine.

Tennisshoes - thanks for you input. Spent about 1 hour on the internet and found two items to share. As my top stopped working after a battery replacement, the fix was located at http://www.evsvw.com/blog/what-to-do-if-vw-beetle-convertible- top-does-not-work/ .The top now works fine, As for the windows problem I found a partial fix at http://www.justanswer.com/vw-volkswagen/6fqv1-volkswagen- beetle-reset-or-reprogram-power.html . The master button now lowers all 4 windows properly albeit it does not raise them. Still the 4 regular buttons work up and down so I am not too concerned. Will keep playing with the settings and searching about the internet.
