hello i have a 1973 beetle and the speedometer clock is not working i checked for blown fuses but cant find anything wrong.

i tried to look for a blown fuse because headlight would,nt work after replace the bulb in the event i got fuses crossed up replaced with the diagram now it want start what did i do wrong
