There is no water in the oil, no water coming out of the tail pipe.
no bubbling in the recovery tank when car is running.

Was vehicle overheating before replacing thermostat and sensor ? Did you bleed air from the system after replacing thermostat ?
Change the O ring and inspect the metal binding section on the over flow tank. Mine did the same thing until I replaced the tank.
Replaced thermostat, coolant temp sensor and coolant flange. The car will run great just pushes coolant out the overflow on the recovery tank then overheats.
