i have had no problems with the 2002 model i purchased for my wife suspension wise however, do get the steering alignment and rack checked as this is sometimes (apparently) a fault on some models of that year/era? as was the steering on ours???..

IMO they are all susceptible to suspensions problems. Its a complex front end. Drive it and see if its loose, or clunks/squeaks, etc. A new control arm kit (all 8 arms, tie rod ends, sway bar links) will run you about $600 from various online places. Labor is pretty severe.
