Passsenger Heated seat stays on...killed my battery.

Asked by R_marquetti Sep 03, 2015 at 12:27 PM about the 2006 Volkswagen Passat 2.0T

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

As I tried to start my car, the battery, which is new was dead. Upon deeper inspection I found the passenger seat heated. The switch was off, as a matter of fact I never turned them on, I live in 80 degree weather. It stayed on for the rest of my  commute.  Any Ideas where could be the problem?

The switch may be bad and or the sensor for the seat heater could be bad as well. Have it disconnect if you have no use for it...
