no spark sometimes

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

new distributor due to broken. replaced dist. starts fine. 2 days later no spark. van sat for
1 week due to no time to look at. after that tried starting, van started did nothing to repair.
drove van for 1 day, stop and start and now nothing again

Sounds like a flaky ground issue. Make sure ground from engine to body is clean, dry, and free of corrosion. Varying weather conditions can sometime make a ground good/bad. Also, look at replacing the coil as well...if its the original, it's well past it normal lifespan.
