Tires for a 2006 Acura RL

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I bought my 2006 Acura RL used in 2016 with 80,000 miles. It had new tires on
that were size 235. The original factory spec is for 245 size tires. I have now
driven it about 11, 000 miles in 22 months and it seems just fine for me, a
retired senior.  Any reason to replace them next time with the larger (and more
expensive) tires? I know I should replace all four at the same time.

So my question was answered by the fact that I had a flat tire and I now need to purchase a new tire. I know I should at least by two tires because of the AWD. However I decided to purchase four tires so they all would match in the amount of tire wear. The old tires were 30,000 mile life so they were maybe half used up. I purchased four Cooper CS5 Ultra Tour 235/55/R17 even though the factory spec is for 245/50. ( I don't have a good reason it is just what I did). Now a new problem came up on the first drive with the new tires, they are noisy and ride rough. I figured out the problem was the "installer" aired up the tires to 40 lb when the factory manual states 32 front/ 30 rear. When I readjusted the air pressure the car now rides as it should, a lot of noise went away and it no longer rides like a buckboard (to you young guys that is a horse and wagon).
