Would you recommend using Marvel Mystery Oil for a slight ticking noise?

Asked by angel42168 Mar 04, 2015 at 09:50 PM about the 2006 Mazda MAZDA6 s Sport 4dr Hatchback

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Just recently bought used with 92,000 miles on it.  Appears to have been well taken
care of and runs great.  However, lately it has been making a slight ticking sound when
first started or after sitting again for a few hours but goes away quickly.  Recently took
for an oil change.  I assume they used the right oil for the car.  Someone suggested I
should use Marvel Mystery Oil half way between oil changes.  Is this a good idea?  Is it
safe?  Will it help?

This is a gamble, could help ,could hurt,I think up grading the weight of oil you are useing would do a better job.And could be that they did not put the proper weight oil in it,meaning thinner oil than it need,s.

A can of Marvel Mystery oil may work wonders. It certainly won't hurt anything.

My brother you only use Marvel Mystery Oil in the truck when you about to change the oil once you change the oil you put full synthetic 100% And you add hyper lube also as a oil additive that's what I do
