you need a programmer, or ecm reprogrammed. im not 100% sure if a cavi can be reprogrammed. either way the answer to get rid of a speed limiter is in the ecm
why would you even try its a cavalier and not worth the time or money to make it go 115 instead of 110
the reason i want to know is cause i have a friend that has the same car as me and when he bought it. it had no govener and he has got it up to 137 on a track
there is to ways of going about it 1 is known as the vss mod witch is u need to run a in switch for and u can gogle it and figure out how to do it but the down side is that it stops the gauges win u flip it witch in turn well make ur car worth zero if u try to sell it so im told the other way is called a hp tuner witch will reprogram the computer but that cost close to $400 so i say if ur going to do that bulid the car up first if it were me i would go with the hptuner if u have the money thats the only 2 ways i have heard of
Most likely through some ECM programming. Why would you want to? You wouldn't get any positive results out of it. If you want a faster car, go and buy one.

hey travis i have a 2004 cav. 2.2 and will go faster than 115mph. I removed the governor from the computer and got it to top out at 134mph. I think its worth it .
