Starting problems

It is very possible your problem is a crank position sensor.

Is there a way to clean it or should it be replaced?

I just had the exact same problem. My mechanic changed the crank sensor, it did not fix the issue but looked bad and needed to be changed anyway. Then figured out it’s the starter motor and plugs . Motor not giving enough power and the plugs were old and installed wrong. After replacing, she starts like a charm, purrs like a kitten, engine light off and about 25% more power :) like new again — 2005 Shinka 85kms

My problem is non starter when engine working 10 min temperature water up 130 and after 10 or 20 min car working well mazda rx8 2006

Now I can drive about 5-10 min. and the car will just cut off and will not start for around 2-3 min. I think that the crankshaft position sensor I installed a few months ago might have been defective. I'm going to change the oil and filter and then put a new one on. Thanks for the reply! JD

Don't take this as a 100% sure answer but it might be the catalytic converter.Do some research on that!
