Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2006 Nissan Frontier King Cab 2.5 liter 4 Cyl, when accelerating the engine pings,  and it seems like the automatic transmission is shifting to soon.. Is there a solution for this?

Hello, This is a known problem with 2006 Frontiers unfortunately. They tend to ping under load as well. I have not been able to find any recalls directly related to the ping. However, I would advise calling a local Nissan dealer and seeing if they know of any related recalls or good fixes. Best of luck! CarGrrl
