The common thread is the steering wheel. Check the wiring harness that comes up to the wheel and make certain it is securely connected. It also may be contacts in the same wiring that are corroded and causing you to loose the connection.
Thanks taver91. Could it be I need to replace the Clock Spring? In the research I have done all points lead to this. I did check the wiring and it all seems to be ok.
What is the "Clock Spring"?

Clock spring is inside the steering wheel and part of Air Bag Unit. Did you ever solve this issue?
