SUVs with adjustable pedals? (Audi? BMW? Lincoln?)
Asked by Wilpap Oct 08, 2016 at 11:21 AM about the 2006 Nissan Murano SL
Question type: Shopping & Pricing
My wife has a '06 Murano with power adjustable pedals. She is just over 5' tall
so adjustability is a must. She can't drive a behemoth vehicle like an
Escalade/Tahoe/Yukon - we hate the entire Ford product line. Is there a
research source I am missing? Should I just look into aftermarket install?

Lincoln MKT, Lincoln Navigator, both have adjustable pedals, but if you hate the entire Ford lineup why do you name Lincoln as a potential candidate? It's made by Ford. You also have more expensive options, like Mercedes, Porsche, Acura, Lexus, BMW SUVs, or smaller SUVs like the Subaru Forester.
Why Nissan discontinued those pedals is a mystery! I had to buy another vehicle when my Murano died. Loved the adjustable pedals.
Our 2007 Kia Sedona has adjustable pedals. We couldn't find a replacement vehicles with adjustable pedals anymore. Not sure why most manufactures are discontinuing these. It is a safety concern for short drivers as they have to pull all the way forward to reach the pedals, and, and hence the steering comes too close to the body, even when it is telescoped all the way in (away from the driver). Anyone interested in a signing a petition to the NHTSA/IIHS?
I am 5'1 and love my adjustable pedals since I first discovered them about 15 years ago! Chrysler Pacifica had adjustable pedals for awhile, but apparently not anymore! I would definitely be interested in signing a petition for them!
