can you upgrade the screens in a 2006 nissan murano

Asked by jmonarch Jun 13, 2013 at 09:58 AM about the 2006 Nissan Murano SL AWD

Question type: Car Customization

I just bought a 2006 Nissan Murano which I love, the styling of this vechile makes it look like one of the newer svu's even though its 7 years old. I couldnt afford a new svu and I was impressed with all the features this older model has, however I do wish it had some sync technology. I have found a product called the Parrott MKi9200 Advanced color display blue-tooth hands free kit which will connect my music from my phone and make calls come through my speakers, i guess the only thing I didn't care for was the 2.4 inch screen (being i already have a screen display). I guess what Im wondering is can you just upgrade the screen thats in the car with one that has more features, like bluetooth and handsfree talk. I imagine it would be more expensive than the parrott device but I plan on driving this vechile for a long long time so it would be worth it to me.

Yes you can! You can probably find an adapter for your dash to fit a larger screen in it, then all you do after that is pick out whatever head unit you want, and purchase the proper adapter for it. I would recommend you take it somewhere to have it done by professionals. Remember tho, you get what you pay for as far as install goes!
