Problem with D acting like N

Asked by in_need_of_help Dec 20, 2010 at 01:49 PM about the 2006 Hyundai Accent GLS Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car acts like its in N even though its in D- it usually happens when I stop at a light and then when I want to drive the car won't react. The car drives when I shift it to L. It usually goes back to itself after playing with the gear stick or playing with the electricity wires. This has happened more than once but not on a regular basis. My mechanics can't find anything wrong with it. any ideas?
