who makes "Mini" oil - from the dealers

Asked by zzinglish Aug 12, 2014 at 11:32 PM about the 2006 MINI Cooper S Hatchback

Question type: General

After a recent gasket change to end leaks I was told the refill was with 5 w 30 Mini oil, in
place of the Mobil one that was not that old. If anyone else has heard of this any info
would be appreciated

Thanks

I serious doubt Mini makes it's own oil. Most likely the oil they used is a synthetic blend as full synthetic can leak around gaskets. Try and find out who supply them.
