i have a 1998 Tahoe after i fill up my gage goes to full but after about 30 miles it starts to jump around to empty to half and everything,i have to go by milage but i wanted to know if my truck has a fuel soon light come on before i would run out of gas.

It does not have a low fuel indicator light. It sounds like something is wrong with the signal being sent from the fuel pump. I imagine it would be solved if the fuel pump is replaced, but they run around $350. If you have replaced it before, look for a warranty if u have the receipt.

Thanks very much, i kind of thought that might be it i had the truck for 2 yrs so i'm not sure when it was changed i have 166854 on it now and i know its not easy to change that pump so i guess i'll have to just keep up with my milage until it goes out.when i fill up i know i'm good for at least 250 miles.LOL.
