what value does a car have if the odometer is brokne

My niece has a 1993 valve 240 sedan. The
odometer has been broken for awhile. Is there any
way estimate the value of the car

Usually what ever the value of a car is, cut it in half for a TMU True Mileage Unknown! For example $ 4,000 value would be only 2,000.

It really doesn't negatively impact the value of a 240 unless it's absolutely immaculate otherwise. Odometer failures are quite common in older Volvos, and that's probably why it doesn't hurt the value much. Usually cleaner 240s go for $2,000-$4,000.

I had an odometer stop working because the speed sensor came unplugged. 1992 240 sedan
