Noise in front end

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
When I drive my car the right front is making a rattling noise. It's not a constant rattling. It seems to stop when I make a right turn while moving. I can't figure out what's causing it. Anyone have any ideas?

It sounds like it could be a CV joint. This is short for Constant Velocity and can happen when this joint wears down. It might also be that you have some broken strut mounts, worn out struts, or an issue with the overall wheel assembly. Take it to a local mechanic or possibly even a Discount Tire store and have them take a look at the wheel assembly. They might be able to diagnose by eye. If you want to check the strut mounts look at where they are located online and check the top of them for any breaks. Hope some of this helps.

Just got a call from my mechanic - There is a code that comes up that indicates a bad "crank senor." I authorized the repair ($260) but wonder if that's a real thing??? By the way, I brought my car in because it started, but would stall almost immediately. by reading the blog I see that an "Ignition switch antenna ring" is the likely culprit .
