MAF, TPS, or O2 Sensor
So i bought a 2002 volvo s60 2.4 L turbo just recently. It drove home ok, but i
went to take it out and it gets half way down the road when it starts acting
weird.
At first, the car would stop all acceleration and begin this jumping/revving of
the engine. I got out of the car and notice the MAF sensor was unplugged, so
i plugged it back up and the car ran fine for about 60 miles. It then began to
do it again, along with a really slow acceleration (and i mean, i had to press
the pedal all the way down to get it to even get up to 3000 rpms). I replaced
the MAF sensor yesterday and hard reset the codes, and again the car ran
good for about 60 miles before it started again. All i have to do to get it going
again is stop the car for about 3 minutes and restart it.
Now it is worse, as it has a hard delay when accelerating, and its loud
whenever it does. it also doesn't accelerate like it should. I start the car, and it
will cut right back off if i dont give it gas. but when i do give it gas it jerks really
badly. It also will stall randomly, and i will not be able to accelerate at all. And
on 2 rare occasions, it feels like im pressing on the break whenever im not.
Im thinking maybe O2 sensor or the trottle position sensor, but im not entirely
sure and i dont want to go and spend the money for it to not be the problem.
All opinions are welcome
