I removed the knock sensors a few months ago and the knock sensor I ordered online did not fit so I went directly to Volvo for the part. It's 2 sensors with the wire connector. Problem is I forgot...

Greetings from The Lone Star state! Q: I recently purchased a 2001 Volvo S60 Turbo in automatic. Non-Geartronic, 144K miles and in excellent condition minus "Transmission Service Req'd and Check Engine Light" on. The car is in limp mode and the car barely moves...just revs and seems like the discs aren't engaging to propel the car forward. The codes are "TCM- related and Cat Converter as well as "wrong gear ration 3". Several shops have stated that my tranny is screwed as 99s-02s trannies are junk. Anyway, will disconnecting my battery help the car reset and make the limp mode go away? I already have a print out with the codes. Thank you for any/all advice. 5 Answers
