it might be too late- some of those radios back then would allow only three reset attempts before they quit completely, forever- it thinks you are the thief and it is foiling you- must be time to consider that new bumpin' system you always wanted
Disconnect battery then reconnect.
My Volvo s70 radio upon tuning on says off
You have to have the radio ON for like four hours to the radio is back again to CODE then reenter your right code
So you are saying I need to have switch on for 4 hours before my radio will let me enter code?
I had a "OFF" message on my radio (retro fitting to older Volvo radio/cassette) and entered wrong code. Checked all the usual post on the internet about putting ignition on for around 2 hours then a guy in the USA said remove fuse number 7 ( 20 amp radio) and refit to clear the "off" message. I put the ignition to position 1, turned on the radio..message "OFF" displayed, then removed fuse and replaced it, got back in the car and "code" was displayed, entered 4 digits and radio works. Worth trying.
Should I buy a new radio for 1999 s70 Volvo after 3 attempt on a wrong code I need music therapy now I found the code and it is not allowing me to reset
My used 1998 V70 displayed "off" in the radio screen till I did the ignition in "I" trick for 2 hours. Now it asks for the code, but unfortunately doesn't accept the code I found written in the owners manual. The wierd thing is, if I enter a wrong code, the display says EEEE like its supposed to. But when I enter the right code, it just freezes and will only turn off with the ignition.
