well it all depends on how it's been looked after & serviced, same for any car really, but let's assume it has been looked after, then it should have plenty of life left in her yet.. my 2002 s80 2.4 has 87000 & still feels like new.... they're pretty bullet proof engines, but it's like any car they need looking after & not abusing..... get loads of service history if you can that will give an idea of it's life so far....

I have a 2005 S80 with just under 300,000 and motor is STILL fine as ever. Complete with twin turbos kicking nicely. Rack and pinion starting to go out, and transmission is kicking little sometimes.
InspectorT, this is super helpful! About to buy our 16 y.o. her first car and a neighbor is selling a 2004 s80 T6 with 140k miles for $4k. All dealer serviced. Glad to hear yours is running so well with the higher mileage. Are you going to do anything about the tranny?
I just bought a 2009 3.2 s80 today 01/13/2020 with 197k on it and hoping to get close to 300k out of it

Great car ! As an owner of a 2008 xc70 with 105000 mi . I think you will make your goal .read owners manual on oil for the engine . My dealer who I have used for 40 plus years was using wrong oil so I couldn’t understand why I was always adding oil . Presto no longer a problem . It has same engine ! Good luck
