Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When I step on the gas pedal my car  jerks
back and forth and at times it won’t go
pass 20 miles but at other times it drives
just fine: can you tell me what would cause
this to happen

Do you have any lights on? Does the gas pedal respond like it normally would, or does it not rev properly? I think you might have a bad ETM (electronic throttle module).

This module was causing the same issue with my 2001 V70, the dealer replaced it for free due to it being a recall item.
