If the passenger side door switches work, it's wiring or the panel itself. The same fuse runs the switches on the opposite door, not just the driver's side door. Click it on the passenger door, if that works, you can use a volt meter to test the wiring going to the switch, if you are getting good signal, than the panel itself is dead. Or once you remove the panel you might notice the wires either unhooked, frayed, or just badly damaged. If that's the case, wires are the problem.
took panel out, hey presto, the cable had detached from the PCB board. Put it back on and most LED'S came on with the exception of the Right door mirror also the drivers door window. So does this mean I still require a new panel!
If just the mirror adjustment, it may be the motors in the mirrors themselves. Normally both wouldn't go out in only ten years but anything is possible with cars. If it bothers you not being able to adjust the mirrors, my suggestion is remove the mirror and test the voltage going through the wire to the actuator for the mirror. Make sure it's the board before wasting money on replacing a board that works for 95% of the equipment except the mirrors. I found this video if you want to remove the mirrors to test/replace them - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qci0vA_JyzU Hope this helps!
