Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a couple questions.
1st
Ive had to have it aligned a few times
but noone seems to know why its
going out of alignment.
2nd
I have a good running truck and it
almost has 300.000 miles
Once again I've been told a few
different things that may be wrong.
It has or had a rock or a knock once
in awhile it smokes on first start up
But it runs good back and fourth
groin l.a. to the low desert with no
problem stay 80 plus miles an hour
frequent oil changes new wires plugs
caps. Tires and every thing.
But some times it acts like our can
get out the drive way.
Noise comes and goes
Mostly goes
Front end was good until a ninth or
so .
It felt like the front end was floating.
I got and alignment and be tires
lasted a few days and that only
driving local maybe 2-3 miles a few
days a week and is back out of
alignment. Took it to the shop
realigned it and not 2 days later it is
like a drunk driver swerving  can't
keep it straight
And i heard i may have a burned
valve.
But another mechanic says it isnt.
Id like to replace or rebuild thr motor .
I woyld like to give it to my son
getting ready to graduate .
Id like to supe up a motor to put in it

My 94 started pulling left and the local great mechanic said that the front right outer tie rod was real old and the bolt that holds it in place slipped down just a tiny bit and that's what caused the pull. It's cheap and pretty easy to replace it but that top bolt has to be at an exact point or it wont drive straight. Most folks get aligned afterwards so they coan adjust that bolt if u get it a 1/2 turn off. Good Luck
