BEARING FOR DRIVESHAFT.

Asked by cabinet Mar 28, 2015 at 10:36 AM about the 2007 Chrysler Pacifica Limited AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I JUST BOUGHT A PACIFICA 2007 LIMITED WITH 80K MILES. I HAVE HAD IT
ABOUT 30 DAYS AND THE FRONT BEARING IN THE REAR DRIVESHAFT WENT
OUT. I TOOK TO AUTO SHOP AND THEY TOLD ME THERE WERE NO
REPLACEMENT BEARINGS FOR THIS CAR. CALLED A CHRYSLER DEALER AND
THEY SAID THAT WAS TRUE. A NEW DRIVESHAFT IS $1500 AND I CAN'T
AFFORD IT. ANY IDEAS?

Go to your nearest salvage yard. If no dice there, try Ebay. If nothing on Ebay, I would google a southern state salvage yard like Arizona or Florida. Get their phone number and email. Give them your info and the item you need. They will let you know it they have it plus the shipping to get it to you. Will be cheaper than $1500.
