I have a 2000 park avenue I lent it to a friend and the thermostat went now it runs 2o degrees hotter fans turn on low at 210 run to 205 and shut off then it starts just shutting off after its fully hot

#1 rule- don't loan your car to anybody- next, if you think the thermostat is bad, you should have it replaced- and check the rest of the cooling system while you are at it-

he took it to a dealership and had a new oem thermostat installed and it is opening but the cooling fan only runs at low speed starting at 210 and shuts off at 205 it used to not go over 193and after its hot it just shuts off but starts right back up
