sounds like the heater valve is inop- in the old days, the valve was turned by a cable connected to a lever on the dash or console- mechanical- yours probably has an electrical switch to activate it- I would start there
if one hose is hot, and the other is cold your heater core needs to be flushed. the antifreeze is not completely circulating through the heater core. its not leaking but its not getting hot either. one line should be hot, and the other warm
btw it doesn't always pool up in the passenger side of the floor anymore. there is a plastic elbow comming out of the fire wall on the passenger side this is called the "vent tube" and antifreeze tends to pool up in the bottom side of the cover and get blown or leaked out of this vent tube. watch for antifreeze drips but i dont think thats it. i believe your heater core needs to be flushed
I have a buick regal gs and im not getting no heat the blower works good and the gauge in the inside is reading half way. I even cracked open the bleeder while the car was in idle and it has a lot of steam coming out at first it had fluid and then it stoped even when i shut the car off the steam continued to push out of the bleeder both heater hoses are warm almost hot and my temperature reading is on 90 degrees at first it was not especially when i started bleeding it I even left the radiator cap off and left it idle to so that it would bleed off that way no change i still have no heat and now my car sounds terrible like if it has an idling problem so please tell me what to do
