power steering filter

hi i have a 2001 buick regal has the 3800 in it and my power steering filter
needs changed where is it had a mech look he said he couldnt find it can
anybody help me pls

I believe it's in the power steering pump. Your mechanic will need to remove the hoses to see it. Buick called it "Magnafiltration". It was an extra cost option. Personally if you're power steering is working ok I wouldn't worry about it. If it works, don't fix it!! Hope that helps! Jim
