I have a 1997 cavalier. I was riding down the road last week my car was running fine. When i came to a red light my car died, but started right back up. When i tried to give it gas it would would die.

Check air filter and clean throttle body and Idle Air Control valve or mass air flow sensor depending on which one your vehicle has. Add fuel injector cleaner to gas tank.

i have a 01 cavalier z24 2.4 5speed, my wiring harness was trashed when i got the car. I picked up a new wire harness, but its for an automatic. Is it possable to use in my car still? And if so what would i need to do to makeit work? 1 Answer

Hello I have a 2001 chevy cavalier and yesterday morning I tried to start my car and turned over the key and it did absolutely nothing. There was no clicking or winding noises only noise I heard was my fuel pump kicking on. All my lights are working normal and so is my radio. I have a 2005 cavalier that will crank and idle fine but when I give it gas itspitts and sputters and will try to stall. If I push the gas 3/4 down it clears up. The check engine light is on. 16 Answers
