dead battery

I would check the output of alternator and the strength of your battery first
The altinator checked out good as did the battery, but the battery is smaller than specified!
Then check for voltage drop on your battery cables and make sure your ground wires are clean without corrosion at the connections
I would also get the correct battery installed. This could be your issue
Parasitic drain is my guess. I just bought a 07 Aura that has this problem. After extensive troubleshooting today I found the following drain when key is off and all doors closed: .72 amps - radio (pulled radio fuse (right center console) for this) .28 amps - Pulled fuse 16 in trunk (garage door opener, digital radio receiver, & remote control door lock) .20 amps - OnStar (pulled OnStar fuse (right center console) for this) .13 - ignition .23 - cluster/theft .13 airbag battery So from 1.7 amps to .49, so I hope my battery issues are solved now... Can live with all these pulled, but want to troubleshoot the radio issue further, my wife does want her radio back...
Hey Tim, did this resolve your issue? I just bought a 08 with the same problems. Any ideas?
Yes, my son still drives this car today. He just can't use the radio, but he doesn't care he uses music off his phone! :) No battery issues ever since I pulled those fuses!
To be clear I only removed 3 fuses to solve my problem (1.7 amps to .49): 1. Radio (.72 amp draw with key off and doors closed) 2. Fuse 16 in trunk(garage door opener, digital radio receiver, & remote control door lock)-- (.28 amp draw with key off and doors closed) , and 3. OnStar (right center console) (.20 amp draw with key off and doors closed) ............................................................................................................................................... T he .49 draw I guess is acceptable and gets charged back up when you drive the car: 1. Ignition (.13 amps) 2. Cluster/Theft (.23 amps) 3. Airbag battery (.13 amps)
