Your bolted wire should have 12vDC, if not, check your main fuse under hood. Car have stereo? possibly poped fuse, or jumped started can do that too. The other connector at the Alt. goes to the PCM/BCM. Isolate the connector and test for a 5vDC reference at plug(not shure what wire w/o diagram). No reference voltage at alt = bad signal from Body Control Module. That is bad news. That will involve tracing wires, new module, crying, money gone, ect...

Problem was solved issue was the power wire to the alternator and starter burned up and broke apart. replaced it and it works good now.

head to the local auto store and just grab a battery cable or hit up a wreckers and take a double end out of a car. It has to be main power thickness. The main reason this part burns out is because its just simply 2 wires pressed together with shrink tube. Replace it with a solid one piece wire and you won't have the issue any longer.

for that i do not. i would recomend google searching your cars engine and look at the images to see if you can locate a picture of it tho. other wise go to Audi and go to parts and ask for a picture of the part it might show it might not thats where i ussaly went for how disasemble my car jsut went in asked for a diagram of that part of the car and found out how it comes apart.

CI just put a brand new starter on my 2007 dodge caliber but it's not starting or sparking up do u kno way it could be why it's not starting up

check the cable that runs betwen the starter and the alternator it often burns up and splits apart where they stupidly just pressed the wire togeather. Other problems come from the fuse box. check it for signs of melting or bad contacts

my starter starts while the car is running when i shut it off it wont start there is nothing no clicking or any noise so i change the starter it works for a while then does it again this is the 4th starter the last 2 have been brand new starters

its likely not your alternator check for a green power cable that goes betwen your alternator and starter. it rots off from it being a touch point wire and frys the whole cable
