perhaps you could take the time to have your diagnostic trouble codes read....you don't need for a 'check engine light' to be on for there to be trouble codes there...this can happen for free at Kragen, NAPA, Advance, Oreilly's ...any major parts supplier would come out to your car hook up the 'diagnostic' plug and retrieve the codes...bring 'em back here for the 'cipher job----please report back...a representation of an OBD-II scanner what can be had for around fifteen bucks~

I mean at 45...exactly? wha? if this were a strict smog control car, like the Californians have would suspect a fouled up EGR valve---this would show on your trouble codes~ might show as a MAF or MAP sensor, might be a TPS or Accelerator position sensor device (if equipped) sure it's where man meets machine, either the accelerator pedal, gasoline, oil or coolant one of those is probably being neglected~
