How do I format a used ETC computer to work in my 2007 dodge Caliber?

I bought a used ETC computer for a 2007 Jeep patriot because I was told it would work in
my 2007 Dodge Caliber.  I installed it.  The car starts, but shuts off immediately.  I'm
thinking it needs to be reformatted for my specific car. How do I do that?

Unless you have computer and scanner program for your spicific car,you will have to have a dealer or a mechanic that has this to do it.
