Does your fuel guage fluctuate dramatically even if you are not going a "long" distance?

I've noticed that the fuel guage reading fluctuates dramtically even when I do not travel far distances. Should there be any concern over a sensor defect or fuel pump issue? Thanks.

Yes, I would start there. This should be a warranty repair on a 2007. There may even be a dealer fix for this.
