Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have 2007 Lincoln MKX 3.5L w/ oil cooler w/ almost 200,000 miles. I found anti-freeze in the oil and fear the worst. What ford engines are exchangeable with this engine? Great car, time to replace motor.

Get a rebuilt or used engine and replace what you have. From the miles on it, it has served you well.

I am also in the same situation. Well, almost. My Lincoln has 220,000 miles and still going, but it has been a very good car and very comfortable with heated & cooled seats wood dash, etc. I too would go to scrapyard and find the very same engine, with less mileage of course. Car has always gotten around 25 mpg. By contrast, I have a 2010 Mountaineer that gets 14 mpg!! Go figure.

Look for Ford Edge in the yards, they are a direct bolt in in most cases. Don't know your location, but a quick search of the junk yards locally several in the 90,ooo mile range for under $1000. Make sure you find one with the oil cooler some came with out one.
