Have you checked the timming, if the timing is off it can cause a hard start. It could also be a bad crank position sensor. I would seach the A4 forums as well. Good Luck
Most common issue is the key has become disconnected from your cars security and usually requires a reprogram. The problem can be intermittent but can become permanent. Its honestly happened so much with vw's and audis its ridiculous. Do you have the electronic key or the physical key ? you may be able to reset your security in the key if you put the key into the ignition and turn to power on mode for 15 minutes not touching anything. Then role the key to power off then start the car. It may fix the issue may not but is worth a shot. This can also be caused by low voltage issues. if you have ot already replaced the original battery it is probably due for replacement. Go to your local audi dealer for this since they offer a brand new never been used battery for a decent price and take your old battery.

Thanks for all your help will try key ! Put car into a few garages still having starting getting worse now Its like trying to start but wont engage ? Even put into audi nobody can find out whats wrong with car ? Someone said it could be bendix on starter motor ? So booked into garage again ! had quite enough of car now Looks got but just doesnt start ?
has any one looked at the cam sensor ? i am not overlay familiar with the newer style a4's i have read a couple issues tho that state the battery can cause starting issues with this modal car. Have the battery load tested but i repeat and i repeat do not remove the plugs from your battery with out a tender attached to the cables. When you unplug a battery from this modal car everything needs to be reprogrammed. You can probly use a booster box to let it tend the system if you remove the battery or a battery charge box.
